About Allkind

Our mission, values, and history.

Helping all kinds of people live the life that they deserve

With the need for mental health support at an all-time high, choice is shrinking and services are being stretched. We believe everyone deserves better.

At Allkind, we offer support across the whole mental health spectrum, for people of all ages, from infants to older adults. We’ve been listening to our communities for over 40 years, and it’s clear there’s no one-size fits all when it comes to mental health care.

We’re determined to make sure all kinds of people are supported through their mental health challenges, so they can live the life they deserve. Welcome to mental health support with kindness at its heart.

Our mission

To make sure all kinds of people are supported through their mental health challenges, so they can live the life they deserve.

We do this by listening closely, working collaboratively, and placing kindness at the heart of everything we do.

What we do

We offer support across the whole mental health spectrum, for people of all ages, from infants to older adults.

We support adults, children and young people in community settings, schools, workplaces and homes, across the whole of London. We work closely with the NHS, local authorities, partners and communities to provide care that meets real needs.

We raise our own funds and manage local service delivery. This allows us to stay close to the people we support and respond quickly as needs change.

Our values

Our values guide every conversation, every partnership and every service we deliver. They reflect who we are and how we show up for the people who need us.

Make way for everyone

We’re open, inclusive and accessible. We create space for diverse perspectives, experiences and voices, because better understanding leads to better support.

Be the anchor

We offer stability. Our teams are steady, skilled and reliable, building trust through consistency.

Create lasting connections

We bring people together. We create safe spaces, strengthen partnerships and build communities that support each other.

Grow with purpose

We stay responsive and forward-thinking. We adapt, evolve and challenge the barriers that stop people from getting the support they need.

Our story

Our work today is shaped by more than four decades of mental health support across London. While our name and brand have evolved, our commitment to excellent mental health support has stayed constant.

1980s

Our roots began with Wandsworth Mind and the Westminster Association for Mental Health, both founded to provide inclusive mental health support centred in local communities.

1990s

Services expanded into supported housing and community drop-ins, shaped through direct conversations with people using our services.

2000s

We pioneered school-based peer mentoring, recognising the power of lived experience in early intervention for young people.

2010s

Talking therapies and counselling services launched as community demand for psychological support grew.

2015

Wandsworth Mind and Westminster Mind merged, forming a stronger, unified organisation.

2017

Brent Mind joined forces with Wandsworth and Westminster Mind, creating Brent, Wandsworth, and Westminster Mind, a new organisation better equipped to serve the diverse communities in our area of West London.

2018

We grew our community and housing services, helping more people live independently with mental health support.

2019

We launched mental health training for workplaces, expanding support into the environments where people spend most of their time.

2021

We introduced whole-school mental health approaches, expanded counselling for CYP, and launched suicide support services.

2022

Our CYP services reached more youth clubs and community settings across London.

2023

New services launched, including SEND support, in-reach peer support, supported self-help and an early support hub for CYP.

2024

Brent, Wandsworth and Westminster Mind merged with Kensington & Chelsea Mind, forming West Central London Mind, significantly expanding our capacity across the region.

2026

We left the Mind federation and rebranded as Allkind, a charity shaped by over 40 years of listening and learning. This new chapter allows us to grow with purpose and continue providing mental health support that truly fits people’s lives.
