About the Service
Housing difficulties and mental health challenges often go hand in hand. When one becomes overwhelming, the other can quickly follow.
Our short-term Floating Support service, funded by Wandsworth Council, helps adults build the skills and confidence they need to live independently and stay securely housed.
We’re proud to be the only floating support service provider in Wandsworth, offering personalised, practical support with regular monthly visits and more if needed.
This is support made personal, support that walks beside you, not ahead of you.

What to expect
You support needs will be assessed to ensure we can provide the support you require; you will be allocated a Support Worker who will get to know your situation, understand the challenges you’re facing, and work with you to create a plan that supports your independence.
Support is short-term, structured, and focused on helping you build a safe, stable foundation for the future.
Meeting with you at a place you prefer or arranged visits take place at least once a month, with flexibility depending on your needs.
What people say about the service
These words capture what this service is all about: helping people feel seen, heard and less alone.
How it works
We offer one-to-one practical support that can help you:
- Apply for or maximise welfare benefits
- Manage your tenancy and reduce the risk of homelessness
- Build essential independent living skills
- Improve confidence, social connections and wellbeing
- Access training, volunteering and employment services
- Connect with local activities and community organisations
This service focuses on developing skills and confidence, not providing personal or domestic care.
Every step is focused on supporting you to live the life you deserve.
What we can’t provide
To make expectations clear, our team cannot support with:
- Personal care or household tasks (cleaning, cooking, shopping, DIY, gardening)
- Substance misuse treatment
- Managing or administering medication
- Legal, immigration or nationality matters
- Attending or escorting to appointments
If these are your primary needs, we’ll help signpost you to the right service.
How to access support
How you’re referred depends on the type of support:
Accommodation-based support
Referrals come through the Specialist Housing Accommodation Project (SHAP) Team at Wandsworth Council’s Adult Social Services.
Non-accommodation-based support
Referrals are made through the Duty Mental Health Team at Wandsworth Council.
