About the Service
RISE is Allkind’s affordable counselling service for adults across London. We offer inclusive, person-centred counselling in a safe and confidential environment, either face-to-face at our Westminster premises or online.
You don’t need a mental health diagnosis or to be in crisis to access counselling. If something is affecting your wellbeing, we’re here to support you.

Is RISE right for you?
We welcome adults aged 18+ from all backgrounds and are committed to providing a respectful, inclusive and non-judgemental environment where you feel heard and supported.
Appointments are available face-to-face in Westminster or online, depending on availability.
RISE may not be suitable if you:
- Have current or historical psychosis.
- Require specialist or crisis mental health support.
- Are currently receiving psychological therapy elsewhere.
- Have active addictions, severe eating disorders or PTSD.
- Are looking for couples counselling.
If you’re unsure whether RISE is right for you, we’ll be happy to help guide you to the most appropriate support.
What to expect
1. Make a referral
Complete our referral form and tell us a little about yourself. We’ll contact you to arrange an assessment.
2. Initial assessment
Meet with one of our clinicians to explore your needs and whether RISE is the right service for you.
3. Matching
If appropriate, we’ll match you with a counsellor based on your needs and availability.
4. Begin counselling
Sessions take place weekly, last around 50 minutes, and provide a regular space to focus on your wellbeing.
Counselling may be offered on a short-term basis (6 sessions) or a longer-term basis (up to 24 sessions), depending on your needs.
Confidentiality and supervision
Everything you share remains confidential, except in rare safeguarding or legal situations.
Sessions are provided by experienced trainee counsellors (2nd or 3rd year) who receive regular clinical supervision. Sessions may be recorded (with your consent only) for training purposes and are securely deleted when no longer required.
All counsellors are registered and working towards accreditation with the BACP, UKCP or HCPC.
Fees
Our aim is to provide affordable counselling that remains as accessible as possible.

*Reduced fees are available for eligible students and people on lower incomes or receiving certain benefits. Evidence of eligibility is required before your assessment.

* A 10% Discount is available for block bookings of up to 6 sessions.

How to access support
Getting support through RISE involves three simple steps.
1. Referral
2. Assessment
After receiving the referral form, we aim to contact you within 2 weeks to arrange a 50-minute assessment. This costs £50 and can take place online or in person.
3. Allocation
After the assessment, we’ll thoughtfully match you with the right counsellor. If RISE isn’t the right fit, we’ll offer signposting, guidance and alternative options.Â
