Suicide Prevention Training
Learn how to have life-saving conversations in your community
About the Service
We offer free suicide-prevention training to organisations across South West London. Our sessions are designed to help people feel more informed, more confident, and more prepared to support someone who may be struggling.
Suicide is a serious public health issue but with the right knowledge, we can all play a part in reducing stigma and preventing further deaths.
Suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among 15–19-year-olds, a previous attempt is the strongest risk factor, and men in the UK continue to be disproportionately affected.
Around 6000 people die by suicide every year in England and Wales. Many more attempt suicide or live with ongoing thoughts of wanting to end their life, often without telling anyone. Having the confidence to ask directly, listen without judgement and respond safely can make a real difference.
