About the Service
Losing someone to suicide can feel confusing, overwhelming and deeply painful. For children and young people, these feelings can be especially hard to make sense of. There is no “right” way to grieve.
Our Suicide Bereavement (Postvention) Service for young people offers free, confidential, one-to-one support. It’s tailored to your needs. Whether you have lost someone to suicide, witnessed a suspected suicide, or have been affected by in another way, we are here to help.
There is no time limit on accessing this support. Whether days, months or years have passed, you can reach out whenever it feels right.
Who it's for
This service is for:
- Children and young people aged 18 and under
- Those living in North West London
- Anyone affected by suicide bereavement or has witnessed a suspected suicide.
Parents, carers and professionals can also make a referral on a young person’s behalf.

What to expect
Support is provided by a dedicated Children and Young People Postvention Worker, who will take time to listen and understand what feels hardest right now.
You can expect:
- A calm, non-judgemental space to talk or express feelings
- Support that moves at your pace, with no pressure to share more than you want
- Choice and flexibility in how sessions are shaped
- Reassurance that all feelings are valid
Everything shared is treated with care and confidentiality.

How the support works
- Once a referral is received, a member of the team will make contact within 72 hours
- Together, you’ll talk about what support might be most helpful
- Sessions are one-to-one and tailored to your needs
- If additional or different support is needed, we’ll help connect you with other services
We’ll work with you to find a way of meeting that feels safest and most comfortable. We offer support by:
- Online video calls
- Telephone or text support
- Face-to-face sessions at our offices in Westminster or Ladbroke Grove
- In school, where appropriate and arranged in advance

Fiby (pronounced Fee-bee)
Fiby works in a caring, empathetic and non-judgemental way. She listens carefully, respects boundaries, and always offers choice.
You are in control of what you share and how often you meet. If you ever want to pause support, that’s okay. And if you decide to come back later, you’ll always be welcomed.
