Harry’s story
Harry’s journey with Allkind shows the power of community support and creativity. Facing lifelong mental health challenges, including schizophrenia and manic depression, and coping with the trauma of losing his brother, Harry often felt isolated.
In the early 2000s, he joined a therapeutic arts programme at Allkind, and his passion for music soon inspired him to create Allkind Music Studios, a group helping people express themselves through music.
Starting with just two laptops and headphones, Harry ran the group voluntarily. His dedication led to a paid role in 2018, and today the programme supports over 35 people each year with professional music production equipment. Beyond music, Harry befriends individuals in their homes and facilitates the Walk and Talk group, helping people connect and share their experiences.
