This month marks one year since Allkind launched our Challenge Events, and what an incredible and inspiring journey it’s been!

In just 12 months, 24 dedicated runners have taken on marathons, half-marathons, and 10k races, all to raise vital funds for mental health services in our local community. Each mile has made a difference.

Together, our community of runners has raised an astonishing £10,440, directly supporting our mental health services . These funds have helped resource our community programmes such as Walk and Talk, Allkind Music Studio, and Ecotherapy projects.

Their courage and dedication have contributed to our vision that no one in our community will face a mental health challenge alone.

Behind every run is a powerful story of courage, motivation, and impact.

Molly, who raised £863.75 for Allkind by running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in 2024, said:

I know how scary it feels to take on a new challenge, but the past few months have been amazing. I have learnt that I am capable of much more than I think, I have made new friends, visited new places, and raised money for an incredible charity. Take the leap, you’ve got this!

Denny ran Hackney Half and shared how running became a lifeline for him:

Running has had a hugely positive impact on my own mental health and has become a form of therapy for me. I wanted to run the Hackney Half to challenge myself and most importantly to raise awareness and funds along the way around the positive impact running can have on mental health and ADHD.

As we look ahead to another exciting year of challenge events, we’re calling on new runners of all abilities to join us. Whether you’re training for your first 5k or dreaming of the London Marathon, we’d love to welcome you to #TeamAllkind.
